| Hi Rex. Great idea. I am a great believer that those that have great ideas are the best ones to run them as they have the passion to make it happen. If you can organise an event at your club or another appropriate one, then I for one would attend and bring other along as well, if it does not clash with any ISSF event. Cheers Brant |

| I can't believe that Skeet shooters are happy in the knowledge that we have over 21 months between our National champs. I wonder what the DTL shooters would say if their Nationals were postponed for that period of time? Surely a January event should be held 'as an extra' rather than delete the event?
Is there a club out there who would stage a 'Nationals' type event in Jan/Feb with multi gauges included?
Cheers Rex

| I will be running the Skeet practise trap all day on Mon. 9th May at Canterbury.
So any shooters arriving early into Christchurch can get as much practise as they want. |

| I may be biased but I would like to thank all those shooters who competed at the Skeet Nationals and contributed to a raving success- so I am told!
Thankyou also to the Waitemata mafia Webber/Mcdonald/Viskovich for thinking of the 2 days of trophies which now must be an integral part of the format. Thankyou also to Adrienne Sears and Anne-Marie Praat who did a fantastic job in the office.ANY COMMENTS?? |

| Ever heard of anything constructive emmanating from large Committees? No! And some people can't stand change. I applaud the Council decision re Skeet. At least this Council is thinking laterally and starting a trial which it hopes will be the better for Skeet & Trap. I think it will be a success. If it isn't we will all go back to the old way. I hope the majority out there are not all doom & gloom & are willing to accept a constructive trial. |

| I also must have missed the official remit on this topic, which gives club members a chance for discussion, and voting powers to be exercised at Council level- not that it makes too much difference, as in the past Council have been quite happy to go against remit opinion when it suits. One thing for sure, if the move to a separate Skeet Nationals proves a success we will hear who was behind the idea, and if the Skeet Nationals are contested by 4 squads we will not hear a jot. NZCTA members will of course get a chance to express their opinion-by voting with their feet. |

| I can't understand how our council would even think of changing the format of the "Nationals" without consulting the clubs. They could have introduced the new event with a name like the "New Zealand Skeet Grand Prix" for instance and if it was successful then ask US!! if it can become the Skeet Nationals. Because the new idea has gone down like a lead ballon at our club, and none of the shooters i asked said they would be going to the new event.
I say to the council "leave the nationals alone trial the new event and see how it goes".
